This means that our personal, chair, wheelchair, and baby scales fully comply with the European Medical Device Regulation (EU 2017/745). The MDR replaces the previous MDD directive and is significantly stricter regarding quality assurance, patient safety, and traceability. During the multi-stage certification process, both our quality management system and the technical documentation of the products were thoroughly audited. KERN successfully completed both without deviations – an outstanding result within the industry.
